Want a more exclusive sunrise experience?

The Borobudur Sunrise from inside the temple is currently closed due to post-pandemic restrictions. However, you can still enjoy a premium sunrise view from Dagi Hill — located inside the Borobudur complex — accessible via Manohara Resort. This special upgrade includes breakfast and requires an additional USD 25 per person. Please mention this when booking or contact us to upgrade.

Itinerary:

• 03:45 AM – 04:45 AM: Pick-up from your hotel (Yogyakarta area)
• 04:45 AM – 05:00 AM: Light trek to the summit of Punthuk Setumbu Hill
• 05:00 AM – 06:30 AM: Enjoy the serene sunrise with panoramic views
• 06:30 AM – 08:00 AM: Return to base and enjoy a light local breakfast
• 08:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Guided tour of Borobudur Temple and its rich history
• 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Return to your hotel – end of tour

⚠️ Important:

Climb-up tickets for Borobudur Temple are included in this package, but limited to only 1,200 visitors per day. If you plan to visit during peak season (June–August), we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your access.

• Credit card payments are welcome (3% processing fee applies).
• PayPal is accepted (5% processing fee).
• Airport transfers (YIA) or pick-up outside Yogyakarta city available with an additional charge.
• Meals are not included, but our driver will gladly recommend local food stops along the way.

Additional Info:

• Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking.
• All tours are private, starting and ending in Yogyakarta. Drop-off to other cities can be arranged.
• It is recommended to carry some cash in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for small purchases, as many small vendors do not accept cards.
